Below is an excerpt from a letter received from recent cruisers, Michael and Melanie S., sharing their experience cruising the Columbia and Snake Rivers.

Melanie and I greatly enjoyed our Columbia & Snake Rivers adventure with American Cruise Lines this past May, as we cruised from Portland, OR, west to Astoria, OR, then back east through Portland on our way to Clarkston, WA.  We ended our trip at the Rivera Vineyard on the banks of the Clearwater River. We were blessed with wonderful weather, tasty food, and pleasant fellow travelers. Your historical presentations, entertainment, and staff ensured a journey that we will look forward to repeating with American Cruise Lines in the future.

We have our eye on the Alaska Inside Passage Cruise next year. Can't wait! In addition to offering American Cruise Lines accolades for a "cruise well done," we wish to offer you some of the pictures taken on our Columbia River Cruise. These photos are both unique and spectacular, especially the ones capturing the Auroras Borealis from our room balcony at 12:05 a.m. on May 11th on board American Jazz. We were traveling south, just north of Portland on our nighttime passage heading west on the Columbia River, and also included your sister ship, passing at the moment the Borealis was visible.

See you on board next year for our Alaskan adventure,

Michael & Melanie S.
