The fourth in our series of Coastal Cats, American Legend, continues to provide guests with the perfect blend of adventure and comfort.

Like her sister ships, American Legend can travel on almost any river or waterway in the U.S., with rare access into small ports. The interior features modern décor and spacious staterooms, many with private balconies, as well as an elegant restaurant, multiple lounges, a fitness center, and an outdoor cafe.

After a day of exploration, relax on your private balcony and savor the view. Or sit at one of the observation areas at the bow and admire the splendid vistas with fellow travelers.

The Grand Suites are the finest shipboard accommodations on any small cruise ship. 620 sq. ft. of space encompasses a living room, bedroom, dining table and breakfast bar, balcony, and a spacious master bathroom. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors in both the bedroom and living room lead to a 25-foot-long private balcony with a table, chairs, and chaise lounge. The living room has a TV, and the dining area has a coffee machine and refrigerator that is restocked daily. The bedroom has an additional TV and has a king-size bed but can be configured with two twin beds. The bathroom has a double vanity with a large shower, and is equipped with toiletries, hairdryer, plush towels and robes. Storage space in each Grand Suite includes a wardrobe, full-size dresser, under-counter cabinet, and desk drawers. Each suite also has individual climate control, safe, USB charging ports, and complimentary WiFi.

Sky Suite

These exceptional suites are 470 sq. ft. and feature triple floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook a spacious private balcony with a table and chairs. Each suite has a comfortable seating area and flat screen TV, as well as a breakfast bar with stocked refrigerator. King or two twin bed configurations are available. The bathroom has a double vanity with a large shower, and is equipped with toiletries, hairdryer, plush towels and robes. Storage space in each Sky Suite includes a wardrobe, full-size dresser, under-counter cabinet, and desk drawers. Each suite also has individual climate control, safe, USB charging ports, and complimentary WiFi.

Vista Balcony

Each 310 sq. ft. Vista Balcony stateroom offers large floor-to-ceiling glass doors which lead to a comfortable balcony with a table and chairs. Each room has a king-size bed but can be configured with two twin beds. Vista Balcony rooms have a full bathroom equipped with large shower, toiletries, hairdryer, and plush towels. Storage space in each room includes a wardrobe, full-size dresser, under-bed storage, and desk drawers. Located at the aft of the ship, this elegantly designed lounge provides the perfect ambiance for socializing and admiring the scenery while enjoying a refreshing cocktail. The sizable skylight overhead and large windows surrounding the room brings the outdoors in.

Back Porch Café

This casual outdoor café is perfect for those seeking a lighter fare. From sandwiches and burgers to salads and more, there's something to satisfy every palate as you dine al fresco amidst the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

Fitness Center

Our on-board Fitness Center boasts a wide assortment of state-of-the-art exercise equipment, catering to every fitness enthusiast's needs. From treadmills and elliptical machines to free weights and resistance training equipment, guests can continue their workout regimen while enjoying scenic views.

For those seeking a quiet respite, this mid-ship study offers an ideal space to immerse yourself in a good book, engage in a friendly card game, or tackle a challenging puzzle. Sink into a plush armchair, surrounded by elegant decor that sets the stage for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Chesapeake Lounge

This lounge at the bow is a bustling hub of activity during the day, perfect for casual conversations and mingling with fellow passengers. In the evening, it is transformed into a lively entertainment venue, promising memorable nights filled with laughter and camaraderie.

Restaurant

Indulge in the finest cuisine at our glass-enclosed restaurant, where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the spectacular scenery that defines every American Cruise Lines journey. Each menu showcases American specialties crafted from locally sourced ingredients, ensuring a fresh and flavorful dining experience. With ample seating available, all guests can enjoy their meals together in comfort and style.

Guest Laundry

Our self-service laundry facilities offer travelers convenience and peace of mind. Equipped with washers and dryers, as well as detergent, guests can easily refresh their wardrobes during their journey with us, without the need to overpack.

Chart Room

With multiple maps provided in this convenient area, chart your course, from where you’ve been to where you are going.  Located at the bow of the ship, enjoy beautiful views with a telescope provided for spotting spectacular wildlife and other natural wonders up close. Or simply relax on the comfortable couch and take in the scenery.
