We are proud to announce American Serenade won Cruise Critic’s 2023 Editors’ Picks Award for Best New River Cruise Ship of the Year, the first time an American ship has received this prestigious award.

According to Cruise Critic, “With extra-large staterooms and suites, trendy interior décor, an innovative hydraulic bow and retractable ramp, and one of the most gorgeous sun decks we’ve seen on a river-going ship, American Serenade sets the bar for domestic U.S. river cruising high.”

Like her sister ship American Symphony, the 180-passenger American Serenade introduces an updated modern interior design, integrating an elegant and refined aesthetic with our tradition for the spacious comfort found aboard all of our ships. Drawing inspiration from the geography across America, the new interior design highlights natural textural elements and serene color palettes.

American Serenade also showcases panoramic views throughout, including an impressive four-story glass atrium in the center of the ship. Ranging from 250 to 650 square feet, all of the spacious staterooms offer full-size bathrooms, roomy closets, and private balconies. The new ship also features an on board fitness center and many spacious lounges where you can relax after the day’s adventures.

The Grand Suites are the finest shipboard accommodations on any small cruise ship. 650 sq. ft. of space encompasses a living room, bedroom, dining table and breakfast bar, balcony, and a spacious master bathroom. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors in both the bedroom and living room lead to a 25-foot-long private balcony with a table, chairs, and chaise lounge. The living room has a TV, and the dining area has a coffee machine and refrigerator that is restocked daily. The bedroom has an additional TV and has a king-size bed but can be configured with two twin beds. The bathroom has a double vanity with a large shower, and is equipped with toiletries, hairdryer, plush towels and robes. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors in both the bedroom and living room lead to a 25-foot-long private balcony with a table, chairs, and chaise lounge. The living room has a TV, and the dining area has a coffee machine and refrigerator that is restocked daily. The bedroom has an additional TV and has a king-size bed but can be configured with two twin beds. The bathroom has a double vanity with a large shower, and is equipped with toiletries, hairdryer, plush towels and robes. Storage space in each Grand Suite includes a wardrobe, full-size dresser, and desk drawers. Each suite also has individual climate control, safe, USB charging ports, and complimentary WiFi.
