American Cruise Lines Announces 2024 Season of Exclusive Summer New England Cruises
Guilford, CT—March 14, 2024— American Cruise Lines announces an exciting summer season of New England cruises—the only coastal itineraries in the region that visit only U.S. ports of call. On these exclusive sailings, most guests can leave their passports at home and explore the region’s picturesque coastlines, islands, historic ports, and seaside villages, just as they would along one of the company’s domestic river cruises. American’s 2024 New England season features 6 small ships, including three new Coastal Cats, sailing a selection of 8 to 15-Day itineraries, including brand new Yankee Seaports cruises between Boston, MA, and New York City, and new Hudson River Summer Classic cruises, roundtrip from New York City.
American’s coastal itineraries throughout New England are the only overnight cruise explorations that remain fully in the U.S.A. throughout the entire journey. Calling on over twenty New England Ports from May through September, American’s small ships operate like river cruises, docking in the heart of each destination along every itinerary. Guests enjoy scenic views from private balcony staterooms, authentic lobsterbakes, and guided shoreside experiences.
The Line’s itineraries highlight the historic towns and quaint villages that have made New England a famous maritime destination for centuries. American’s small ships visit ports in Plymouth, Bar Harbor, Bangor, Nantucket, Martha’s Vinyard, Block Island, Newport, Gloucester, and many more. Guests can unpack just once, while discovering storied harbors with ease, and in many cases, arriving to each just as they could on a private yacht. American’s New England cruise itineraries also begin and end in convenient regional ports like Boston, MA; New York City; Providence, RI; Bar Harbor, ME; and Bangor, ME; offering great options for the drive-to-cruise market, for guests who wish to skip flights and other summer travel hassles.
American Cruise Lines’ 2024 collection of exclusive New England sailings include:
15-Day Grand New England cruises, roundtrip from Boston, MA
11-Day New England Explorer cruises, roundtrip from Boston, MA
8-Day Cape Codder cruises, roundtrip from Boston, MA
8-Day New England Islands cruises, roundtrip from Providence, RI
8-Day Maine Coast and Harbors cruises, roundtrip from Portland, ME
8-Day Downeast Maine cruises, roundtrip from Bangor, ME
New, 8-DayYankee Seaports cruises, sailing between Boston, MA, and New York City
This summer, the company is also offering brand-new 8-Day Hudson River Summer Classic cruises sailing roundtrip from NYC. For many years, American has offered fall sailings on the Hudson River, and
due to their enormous popularity, the Line has decided to expand their 2024 offerings, with new June sailings discovering the Hudson Valley.
“Exploring coastal New England in summertime, especially from the water, is an unforgettable experience,” said Melissa Young, Director of Business Development for American Cruise Lines. “And
while some large ship lines sail parts of this region, none can cruise it the way American’s small U.S ships do—sailing protected waters, accessing local harbors where big ships don’t go, and never visiting a
foreign port of call.”
American’s small ship fleet and array of New England itineraries has grown tremendously in 2024, with six ships operating throughout the Northeast all summer, and 21 ships sailing around the country
through December. The company’s curated itineraries are highlighted with onboard experts, historians, authors, and evening entertainment that brings each region’s history and charm to life. Cruising aboard new, spacious small ships, guests will enjoy gourmet cuisine, daily cocktails, and the finest amenities available in small ship cruising. Cruises from Boston also offer a Four Seasons Pre-cruise Package.
