Enjoy Washington D.C.'s Famous Cherry Blossoms Along the Potomac River
The Cherry Blossoms in Washington D.C. are famous around the world. The blossoms have become a celebration of spring around the Chesapeake Bay and adorn each of the towns we visit. We stroll with you along village main streets turned pink with floral displays and bring you to the epicenter of it all, the Washington D.C. Tidal Basin, where the first cherry trees were planted in 1912 by First Lady Helen Taft. The cherry blossoms offer a magnificent backdrop to the history featured each day as we sail the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay.
Cherry blossoms are typically at their peak during the end of March and beginning of April. Each year we time just two cruises during this ideal viewing window.
