Day 1 - Fairbanks, AK
As you step off the plane, you'll find yourself in Fairbanks, the bustling heart of Alaska's interior. Here, amidst towering beauty, your Adventure Guides eagerly await to take you to your accommodation. From the moment you arrive, they'll be your steadfast companions, guiding you through the vast and textured landscapes that define this remote corner of the world.
Day 2 - Fairbanks, AK
After breakfast, gather with fellow explorers for an exciting, guided tour of Fairbanks with our Adventure Guides.
First experience the Museum of the North. Located at the University of Alaska, this museum features a wide range of exhibits, including Alaskan artifacts, contemporary Native art, and stunning displays of the state's unique wildlife.
Be treated to lunch at a local restaurant before traveling to the view the engineering marvel known as the Trans Alaska Pipeline. Next, explore the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum, which features a world-class collection of vintage automobiles and period fashions, from Victorian times through the Art Deco era.

Day 3 - Denali National Park, AK
Right in the heart of Alaska, Denali National Park is an outdoor playground waiting to be explored. With vast expanses of wilderness, towering peaks sweep into the sky and colorful wildflowers sway in the breezes. This 6-million-acre wonderland is home to North America's tallest peak, Denali, standing proud at 20,310 feet above sea level. As you traverse the park, keep your eyes out Alaska’s hiding wildlife. Day 4 - Denali National Park, AK
Upon reaching Denali, prepare to be enchanted by a landscape that unfolds like a masterpiece, with thick forests giving way to alpine terrain and snow-capped peaks, including the silhouette of Mount Denali, formerly known as Mount McKinley, dominating the horizon. With a trained naturalist by your side, you’ll receive a comprehensive tour of the park’s history and the ecosystem you see working around you.
After a day of exploring the park, get ready for an exciting show at Alaska Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre. Day 5 - Travel to Anchorage, AK
In the morning, hop aboard a deluxe dome rail car departing from the Denali area, bound for Anchorage.
Alaska’s largest city seamlessly connects the wild Alaskan frontier with city sophistication. Established in 1914 as a railroad construction port, the city now thrives as a cultural hotspot, highlighted by the Anchorage Museum, which showcases spectacular native art and historical exhibits. Day 6 - Kenai Fjords National Park/Seward, AK
The next national park on this epic adventure is an exhilarating escape where icy wonders and ocean giants meet. Set sail on a cruise through the fjords to witness whales breaching and sea otters swimming among drifting icebergs. Hike up to the Harding Icefield Trail, where each step brings a new view of snow-clad peaks that go on forever. Listen to the dramatic chorus of glaciers calving into the sea. Journeying northward to Anchorage, a must-visit destination is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, an expansive sanctuary spanning 200 acres. Here, injured and orphaned animals find refuge in spacious habitats, allowing them to thrive in a safe environment. Encounter a diverse array of Alaska's native wildlife, from mighty bears and bison to graceful reindeer and elusive wolves. You may even have the opportunity to hand-feed a gentle moose.

Day 8 - Juneau, AK
After a flight from Anchorage, you’ve made it to the capital city of Juneau. Get comfortable in your hotel room and let us transport your luggage to the ship waiting for you. Stroll through the historic downtown, where Gold Rush-era buildings now house boutiques and seafood restaurants serving fresh catches. For a spectacular end to your day, ride the Mount Roberts Tramway to the top, offering not only expansive views of Juneau but also access to alpine trails painted with wildflowers and wildlife sights.
Day 9 - Afternoon of Cruising
Once you board the next section of your tour of the 49th state, it’s another beautiful day on Alaska’s blue waters. Day 13 - Cruising the Wrangell Narrows
As your small ship perfectly weaves through the Wrangell Narrows, you'll find yourself enveloped by a narrow channel that mirrors the dramatic fjords of Norway, complete with forested slopes on either side.
Take in the striking splendor of the landscape, where glaciers sparkle under the sun and waterfalls cascade down like tall, grand, silver ribbons. Be on the lookout for a mix of wildlife. Day 14 - Wrangell, AK
Wrangell's charming bay offers sweeping views of the picturesque town set against a valley that stretches from the imposing coastal mountains. To the north, the Stikine River weaves into the ocean, its waters splintering into numerous streams across a broad delta. Here, the thriving salmon runs are a magnet for local wildlife, and designated viewing areas provide a safe spot to observe seals, eagles, and both black and brown bears indulging in the abundant fish.
The Stikine River which means "Great River" in Tlingit is the fastest navigable, free-flowing river in North America. You can take a jet boat ride up this river to catch a glimpse into the area's Gold Rush history. As you wander Wrangell, enjoy the catch of the day with dishes featuring fresh salmon and halibut, learn more about the traditions of the native Tlingit culture, or pick fresh blueberries and huckleberries from the wild bushes covering the landscape.
Day 15 - Tracy Arm, AK
As our small ship navigates the narrow passage of Tracy Arm Fjord, prepare for yet another day filled with incredible views. The fjord stretches over 25 miles, with the channel averaging just a mile wide, yet it's dramatically framed by vertical cliffs that soar over 3,000 feet. Nestled within these cliffs are valleys that open to reveal expansive views of snow-capped peaks, adorned with glistening glaciers and ancient forests.
As we reach the grand twin Sawyer Glaciers, the origins of this magnificent fjord, you may spot wildlife in motion in their natural habitat. In this enchanting setting, the crew serves up a signature hot chocolate bar, complete with a variety of toppings and liqueurs, enhancing the glacier viewing experience.
This active wilderness, nearly identical to when naturalist John Muir visited in 1879, remains a impressive testament to nature's artistry, described by Muir as "shut in by sublime cliffs, nobly sculptured, and adorned with waterfalls and fringes of trees, bushes, and patches of flowers."

Begin with a narrated scenic drive through downtown Juneau on your way to the Alaska State Museum. Housed in a striking new building, the museum combines the collections from the former Alaska State Museum and the Alaska State Library Archives. In a modern glass architectural environment, the museum, referred to as SLAM, displays artifacts, photographs, and documents detailing Alaska's rich history. Your exploration begins on your motorcoach ride to Falls Creek and Blind River Rapids trailhead, two local hangouts. Along the way, your driver and guide, born and raised in the area, will tell tales of life in a small Alaskan town. Enjoy the short drive through “Little Norway,” the downtown of Petersburg, and continue the drive “out the road,” as locals call it. Stop at Falls Creek Waterfall, a beautiful waterfall and salmon fish ladder, where you can learn about the life cycle of salmon, their role in the local environment, and their importance on the local economy.
Continue to Blind River Rapids trailhead. Upon arrival, walk along a quarter-mile boardwalk which allows your feet to stay dry as you observe the rapids and the local ecosystem. View muskeg, the favorite skunk cabbage of bears, Alaska wildflowers and berries, as well as lodgepole pines. As the rapids are a popular spot for fishing and salmon viewing, your guide will explain the various types of salmon found in the area. Keep an eye out for bald eagles which are also a common sighting.

At the Anan Bear and Wildlife Observatory, enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view Alaskan wildlife, even wild bears, up close. Travel by a covered, heated boat on a beautiful journey to Anan in the protected waters between Wrangell Island and the Mainland. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by US Forest Service personnel, who will provide a brief orientation.
Next, an expert guide will lead you to Anan Creek’s observation deck, providing commentary about the local flora and fauna along the way. From the observation deck, you can view black and brown bears, bald eagles, and harbor seals in their natural habitat as they feed on spawning pacific salmon, just a few feet away. With the earliest pink salmon run of the season, this creek draws Alaska’s predators to fish within close parameters of each other, a rare occurrence in the wild. A photo blind is located directly on Anan Creek below the observation deck where guests can take up-close photos of the bears and eagles catching fish.

This easy, well maintained nature trail is an incredible way to see, touch, and learn about all the botanical wonders that the Tongass National Forest holds. The walk takes you through several different terrains including meadows, a forest, and the beautiful, yet mysterious muskeg. Your expert guide will identify and explain all the plants and wildlife that are native to this area, describing plants that are beneficial to us and which ones to stay away from. Discover how wildlife thrives in this lush forest, home to many species of endangered and rare flora and fauna.

Enjoy world class fishing in the Pacific Ocean along the famed Inside Passage of Alaska. Experience spectacular scenery in protected nearby calm waters while fishing for a multitude of sought after species including salmon, halibut or rockfish. Our trip is “Captain's Choice” for best chances for catching! This is an exclusive experience for a small number of anglers to give you the best opportunity to catch a bounty of fish. Fishing licenses, tags, gear, tackle, and bait are provided. Snacks and beverages will be provided during the experience. For guests that would like the fish shipped to their home, the captain can help organize this at the expense of the guest.
