American Cruise Lines Launches On-Demand Travel Agent Certification Program


GUILFORD, CT – November 12, 2015 – American Cruise Lines, operator of the newest cruise ships in the United States, announced today it has launched a new On-Demand Agent Certification Series. The series will host six online training sessions where agents will learn about destination and fleet details and have the opportunity to become certified on all American Cruise Lines itineraries at their leisure.

American Cruise Lines Announces Construction of a New Coastal Cruise Ship

 

GUILFORD, CT – October 23, 2015 – American Cruise Lines, operator of the newest cruise ships in the United States, announced today that it has begun construction on a new coastal cruise ship, yet to be named. The news of this addition is the most recent in a series of announcements pertaining to American Cruise Lines’ continued expansion of their all-American made fleet. The ship is scheduled to begin cruising in spring of 2017.

American Cruise Lines Awarded Additional “Prime Use Days” in Glacier Bay

 

GUILFORD, CT – October 13, 2015 – American Cruise Lines, operator of the newest cruise ships in the United States, is pleased to announce it has been awarded additional prime use days as an exclusive tour vessel in Glacier Bay. This exciting news will allow American Cruise Lines to spend more time there than ever before. The five-year contract will go into effect January 1, 2016 for the spring itineraries.

American Cruise Lines holds a unique position as the only non-excursion company to be granted tour vessel exclusivity. Staying true to the heritage of American Cruise Lines, its focus will remain on providing outstanding service and superb comfort to their guests in the midst of the panoramically spectacular preserve.

In order to protect and preserve the park’s resources, regulations allow only three tour vessels in Glacier Bay proper per day and access is strictly limited to companies holding concession contracts with the National Park Services (NPS). American Cruise Lines introduces the “American Pride” to the Columbia and Snake Rivers

 

GUILFORD, CT – October 6, 2015 – American Cruise Lines, largest operator of small cruise ships in the United States including three of the newest boats operating on American rivers, announced today the American Pride will be joining the Queen of the West in the Pacific Northwest on the Columbia and Snake Rivers in 2016.

The repositioning of American Pride is the latest in a series of recent and exciting announcements made by American Cruise Lines regarding the growth and expansion of the award winning cruise company. The 150 passenger American Pride, built by American Cruise Lines only three years ago, has been operating as the leading cruise ship on the Mississippi River. To meet the high demand for cruising on the Columbia and Snake Rivers, this authentic paddlewheeler has been renamed American Pride and will be moved to the Pacific Northwest to offer 7 to 10 day cruises beginning April 2, 2016. The American Pride will be replaced on the Mississippi River by the larger America in 2016 which is currently being completed at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland.

American Cruise Lines Launches Newest Mississippi Riverboat America


GUILFORD, CT – August 7, 2015 – American Cruise Lines announced today the successful launching of its newest paddlewheeler America three weeks ahead of schedule. America is being built for the Mississippi River at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland. The launching, which took place this morning, was picture perfect. Immediately after being launched seamlessly, tugboats skillfully nudged the new riverboat into Chesapeake Shipbuilding’s East Outfitting Basin where the upper decks and outfitting will be completed.

The launching comes just a few weeks after the joining of the two hull sections. With the installation of the upper decks, the new riverboat will come together quickly, and upon completion will be the third new riverboat built for the Mississippi River by American Cruise Lines. American Cruise Lines Doubles Capacity on the Columbia and Snake Rivers

 

GUILFORD, CT – August 3, 2015 – American Cruise Lines announced today the Queen of the Mississippi (to be renamed) will join the Queen of the West in the Pacific Northwest on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. This three-year-old vessel, with all oversized staterooms and private balconies, will more than double the capacity on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. The line’s brand new riverboat America will replace the Queen of the Mississippi on the Mississippi River in early 2016.

The repositioning of this riverboat to the Pacific Northwest and the introduction of the new 185-passenger paddlewheeler America to the Mississippi River will enable American Cruise Lines to meet the high demands for cruising on the Columbia and Snake Rivers and provide more capacity on the Mississippi River system. Read More
